A 38-year-old man presents with Chronic Hepatitis D. He is asymptomatic. The liver biopsy shows liver cirrhosis and the lab shows a platelet count of 45.000 per microliter, a white blood cell count of 2.5x109/L and an ALT 2xULN; serum albumin, prothrombin time, creatinine and creatine kinase are within the normal range. Additionally, HBV status shows a HBV DNA of 290 IU/mL and the HDV RNA is 420,000 IU/mL.
