Dr. Ruiz

Mathias Ruiz is a pediatrician hepatologist practicing in Lyon, France, in the pediatric hepatology, gastroenterology and nutrition department of the children's hospital. He is responsible for a constitutive national reference center for biliary atresia and genetic cholestatic diseases, which focuses in particular on the field of alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency, in particular with regard to the pediatric liver disease.

Prof. Strnad

Pavel Strnad is a full professor and leading physician at the University Hospital Aachen, Germany. In 2016, he was named one of the Rising Stars of the United European Gastroenterology. He is heading a European initiative for study of alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency-associated liver disease in adults.
