A 36-year-old healthy male patient without abdominal symptoms was involved in a car accident and had a CT scan performed. The CT-scan revealed multiple hypoattenuating lesions (5-8 mm) in the liver. A follow-up MRI scan demonstrated hypointense lesions on T1 weighted images and high-intensity lesions on T2 weighted images without communication with the biliary tree. There was no suspicion of hepatic fibrosis or Caroli disease. The patient was diagnosed with biliary hamartomas (von Meyenburg complexes).
