An asymptomatic 28-year-old patient from Ghana with a slightly enlarged liver and chronic elevation of serum liver tests presented recently with the following results:

• ALT 58 U/L
• AST 67 U/L
• Alkaline phosphatase 698 U/L
• Gamma-glutamyltransferase 845 U/L
• Bilirubin 1.1 mg/dL

A liver biopsy discloses the lesion shown below.
